No, there are no such things as purple lady bugs.  They are a figment of the imagination.  It’s a cool idea, but no – not real.

That being said, you’re imagination can be a powerful inventor.  I have to catch myself from being too lost in my imagination sometimes.  You gotta see the reality in things.  Not so pretty, I know.  You just want to believe that boy who says he loves you, or that gal in gym class who says she’s your friend.  But if you don’t give yourself a firm grip on the truth, imagination will bite you all over.  Listen to your gut, girlies.  Trust it! I know it isn’t as fun.  Then the next time a REAL lady bug lands on your hand, let her sit there a few minutes.  Give her a safe haven before she flies away.
