Besides the obvious reasons that your parents and the state of California make you attend school, you need school to get a high school diploma or GED.  Then, you can get a job after you graduate.  I got a job before I graduated.  Don’t wait! Making your own money = independence!

Learning is a lifelong thing.  Once it is no longer something you HAVE to do everyday, you may find something that you are really passionate about learning.  It helps if you know HOW you learn best.  Most important of all, you’ll learn how to help yourself so you don’t need to depend on anyone.
