Visited by Angels

Tonight we had our last night of Hebrew School before winter break.  We decided to do a gift exchange.  The Chanukah Angels were kind to me.  I received gloves, socks, candles and the coolest pillow for my new house.

You must be sending me your love by way of the Angels ’cause I’m surrounded by owls, and signs of peace.

We did a bit of Hebrew from our reading book and the gals had their test.  Then we learned about one of the holiest cities in Israel: Safed.  This is where Jewish mysticism was born.  Mysticism is the study of the unseen world.  Angels, magic, the people who have passed on – all of this and so much more.  Of course you know I just love all this magical stuff.  So, I taught the girls how to draw a street in Safed using perspective.  I’m pretty sure I’ve shown you this on the website.  Here is Eryne’s picture.

It’s like you are looking down the street towards the setting sun.  Safed is a very cool place, full of artists and spirituality.  Check it out.  Walk with me now down the mystical streets of Safed. If you can imagine yourself walking down this street with me, you are well on your way to becoming a mystic.
