Requirements of a Writer

Bea,

I hear you are a published writer.  Even if you are not, I KNOW for a fact that you have the ability to be because of one of your last letters to me.  You went into SO much detail about us going on the Hogwarts Express together.  You made it sound real!  I was so impressed.  You know, Universal Studios Hollywood is opening Harry Potter World soon.  I have friends who have already been inside.  You’ll love it.  And I know you’ll be thinking of me when you ride the Hogwart’s Express.  I’ll probably get there sometime this summer.  Maybe I’ll take older brother and his lady.

Anyway, I want to encourage you to write as much as you can.  It can be very healing.  You get the “junk” out on the paper and it frees you of it – the “junk” I mean.  I’m so addicted to writing you both.  It keeps me going.  And you don’t need to be staggeringly talented.  Some real life pain and the perserverence to get it down on paper is a great start. I’ll introduce you to my writer’s club friends when I see you next.  This is TOTALLY doable.  Just don’t stop writing, Bea.  You are very talented.  I promise.    I love you sweetheart and think about you all the time.  🙂
