Eight Days of Holidays: Part 1

Purity was walking around Sephora looking for the perfume she most wanted for Christmas.

As she walked quickly through the store, her little sister, Bea followed behind her…

“I wonder how we’re going to see Prudence?” said Bea.  “She said we’re going to New York for Christmas.  How do you think she’s going to swing that?”

“Don’t know,” replied Purity.  She had no doubt that her oldest sister would make an appearance soon.  She always did.  In fact, Purity wasn’t even worried about it.

All of a sudden, a salesgirl whipped around the corner of a glass counter and announced…

“You should try THIS perfume!” She spritzed the cologne straight at Purity.  The liquid caught her right in the eyes.

“Agh!” Purity gaged as she covered her eyes and started to fall to the floor.  As she did, she bumped her head on the perfume display she had actually been searching for.  The last thing she heard was her sister screaming…

“Purity…Wait!  Wait for me!!!!”

“You’ve got a pretty nasty bump there Pure.” Purity knew that voice.

“Prudy!” said Purity.  She started to get up quickly, it felt herself go back down.

“You rest there a few more minutes,”said Prudy.  “We have eight days together so there’s plenty of time for hugging.” Purity relaxed.  She listened to the song in the loudspeakers.  How appropriate that her holiday with her sister, Prudence should start with this song.

She remembered the time she had been sick in her sister’s apartment in Los Angeles.  Prudy took such good care of her.  She knew she was in good hands.

“Where are we?” asked Purity.

“Los Angeles Airport,” said Prudy.  “Our flight to New York takes off in about an hour.  We’re just waiting for Bea.  She should be along soon. I wanted a few minutes alone with you.”
