Day 4: London

I’ll be honest, London kicked my butt today. imageThe airline sent my luggage to Dublin, Ireland instead of sending to London.  My feet are killing me so now I’m walking around London in black flip flops that I bought for £2.  That’s about $3.  However, I love this city!  It’s so vibrant!  It moves so fast.  I’m glad I lived in LA for two years or I wouldn’t have been ready for it.  I’m in a part of London called Sheperd’s Bush.  It’s a charming little urban area surrounding a wee bit of a park.  There are restaurants, pubs, buses, taxis, subways (called the underground tube system) and a separate metro system called the overground.  So far, I’ve ridden a red double decker bus and one of those cool black London taxis.  The taxis are mad expensive. ( I know that sentence sounds weird- actually it’s quite alright in the UK) The buses are way cheaper and quite clean.  Thank God I can read a bus schedule. Anyway, it’s about ten at night here.  Going to get up in the am and do some serious sightseeing.  For now, I’m sitting in a corner pub enjoying a cold British beer.  As always, wish you were here.
