Dance in the Rain

I found this picture outside of the bathroom at the Oktoberfest.  I saw it and had to have a picture for our website.  Well, life is about to get stormy.  Religious School started tonight, so I had to rush home and prepare for that.  Tomorrow afternoon is the first meeting of my school Drama Club.  Then, Yom Kippur, the holiest night of the year starts tomorrow night.  Phew!  I’m exhausted just thinking about it.  My Religious School girls and I made cupcakes together.  Traditionally, Jews fast on Yom Kippur so we can REALLY think about our mistakes and “be like the angels.” So after we break our fast, then the cupcakes will come out.  I’ll show you them when they are pretty and frosted.  But for now, remember that your big sister loves you.  She’s “talking to the angels” a lot lately.  I’ll put in a good word in for you.  Even the angels would agree that “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass.  It’s about learning to dance in the rain.”  In other words, don’t wait for life to get easy – it never does, I’m afraid.  For example, your oldest brother called me the other day and was kind of freaked out about a responsibility he was having to carry.  I talked to him for a while and reassured him that he could, in fact, handle it.  Yes, life doesn’t get easy, sweet girls.  Dance in the rain.  Perfect that dance and you’ll be a happier person.
