Break Up 101: Part 1

This is a two parter only.  Breaking up should NOT drag out!  If it does, you’ve got a very toxic relationship on your hands.

First – cry.  It’s natural.  It will make you feel better.  Try to talk to someone you trust.  That way, you won’t feel so alone.  Breaking up can be a very isolating experience.

Next – eat!  Don’t go crazy here but this was why Haagan Daz ice cream was created – to help mend broken hearts.  Get something with chocolate.  Chocolate chemically lifts your spirits. Seriously!

Decide how the rest of this relationship is going to play out.  This is so tough because you probably still love the fella. Best advice: No drama.  Don’t try to bump into him.  Go live YOUR life.  Talk to your friends.  Don’t mention him.  Hint: your frenemies will bring him up.

You: Ho hum, yes – we’ve gone our separate ways.  (Now, change the subject.)

Some fellas will keep trying to come back.  They will try to stir up your feelings: get you mad, sad, emotional. DO NOT under any circumstances BUY INTO THIS HORSE MANURE!!!

Yes, they are doing it on purpose!  They want “their cake and to eat it too.” In other words, they want you AND the ability to shag other people too.

Repeat after me: Ice Queen it Out!  They don’t get you, your broken heart (which they broke), your body, or your mind.  No!!! Be an ice queen: be gorgeous!  Be unaffected (towards him) and be happy (without him).  I know it’s going to be like an acting job.  Yes and no.  Ever heard the phrase, “you gotta fake it to make it!?”

Plus, part two of our break up series will help you with the moving on part.?

Taylor Swift says it best I think in her video,” We Are Never Getting Back Together.”
