Our theme today is Angels.  When I was in Ireland, I got to see this book that, some say, was created by the Angels.  The Book of Kells was written almost two thousand years ago.  The illustrations are so gorgeous – which is why people of the Emerald Isle like to say it was written by Angels. Christian monks actually wrote it.  There is a very cool movie about the book called The Secret of the Kells.  It is on Netflix.  I don’t know if you have that or would want to watch an animated movie (being such grown up old ladies).  But the next time “you’re wantin a wee bit of the magic,” give it a try.  I’d read a plot summary on the internet before you watch it though.  Between the thick Irish accents and the unfamiliar Celtic legends, you may get lost and lose interest.  It’s a good movie, I promise. The movie claims that the Book of Kells helps you see light, even in the deepest darkness.  Well, we’ll see…
