Thankful for Goals

In writing my children’s book, I was reading a letter Bea wrote and I was so glad to hear how important goals were to her. (Purity – you focus on loving so much in your letters which I think is equally important).

Anyway, I’ve written the first page, so I figured I should try illustrating the page too.  I’m out today on my way to Michaels.  I’ll get some drawing paper and some art pencils. I can really do these pictures justice. Here’s my very rough first sketch:

I want them to be VERY colorful. Don’t be surprised if I make the book very inclusive.  This means I want it to appeal to a large audience. The characters in the book will be different nationalities and from different “walks” of life. But the dedication will be all for you, my sweet girls.  This time – next year, I hope to be in bookstores signing copies of my book.  Wouldn’t THAT be exciting!
