Summer Vacation

Statue of LibertyLondon

Edinburgh-CastleEiffel Tower

Making up my mind to FINALLY go to Europe this summer.  I’ve wanted to go to England and Scotland since I was a little girl.  My grandmother (grandpa’s mother) was born in Scotland and she always wanted to take me around to the castles.  Since this website celebrates sketches, scribbling and scribing from all over the world, I think it’s time that I get a wee bit more global.

I plan to go “across the pond” via New York City.  I’ll stay there for a day to see the Statue of Liberty and go for a drive in a horse drawn carriage in Central Park.

Then off to London to see all the history: the Tower of London, the West End Theaters and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.  (I own a peg of that theatre, you know?!)  Anyway, then off to the English countryside to see Stonehenge and Oxford.

Next I’ll catch the train at King’s Cross Station and head up to Edinburgh, Scotland to see the castle the houses the Stone of Scone.  Also, the tea house where the first Harry Potter book was written. Then back down to London for a day or two before going off to Paris for the weekend.  Not sure if I’ll take the chunnel (channel underground tunnel) or not, but it’s going to be an amazing adventure.  Of course I’ll take pictures and blog constantly about it.  It will almost be as if you are with me, my sweet girls.

I’ll keep on the look out for cute little gifts to put in your lunches.  This is a dream come true trip.  Yes, dreams CAN come true if you work hard enough AND surround yourself with good people who appreciate you.  I live such a blessed life.  I get paid to do what I enjoy.  Then, I can dash off on amazing adventures.  Here’s to the day we are “bashing around London” together.
