The scene where the girls give their mother, Marmee her Christmas gifts is a classic.  I remember one Christmas when I went to church with Grandma and Grandpa.  The minister asked all these questions about giving to this charity and to that charity, serving in the armed forces, and a bunch of other volunteering things.  I was so proud of Grandma and Grandpa.  I didn’t know how much money and time they gave to all these organizations.  I don’t know what it is about serving others, but it makes you feel good!  Perhaps you reclaim a bit of innocence balancing out the world and making it a bit better again.  I think if Marmee could tell you her motto in life it might be this:

A motto is basically a sentence that states what you believe about life.
