Listen to Your Heart

I did go to church as a child.  My mom, your Grandmother, is one of the best examples of a Christian there is.  But when I was in church, I looked for other people who were good examples.  What I saw, at that time, were a lot of hypocrites: people who said one thing, and then acted another.  This was very disconcerting to me.  I went to Sunday School and we did art projects about God, but I needed a mentor – someone who could show me how to love Jesus.  I never found that person.  When your Grandmother worked nights as a nurse and was too tired to go to church on Sundays, I would go alone. I know how it feels to be alone, sweet girls.  But you are NOT alone.  Your heavenly Father is with you.  I know it can be hard to hear His voice sometimes.  Anger, fear, depression make it hard to hear.  But “Listen to your Heart” and don’t push Him away.  He’s there.  I promise you.
