Good Luck in the Army!

Bea,

I just want you to know how very proud of you I am. This is going to be a tough road for you, but I really believe you can do this. I’m going to change the website up a bit and focus it more on giving you motivation to make it through this. It’s going to be tough and you are going to want to quit. DO NOT QUIT Bea! You can do this! YOU can do anything you set your mind to…

Remember when I tried to teach you to sew? It was a bit hard at first, but you got the hang of it. This is going to be MUCH harder. But the rewards are going to outweigh all the obstacles.

First and foremost – you will be free to choose to do WHATEVER you wish after your tour of duty: you can go to college, travel around the world or settle somewhere you like and start to build a life.

Second – you will KNOW without a doubt how tough you really are. You may not feel tough right now. I know its hard. Wipe the tears from your eyes, take a deep breath and DO THIS! Don’t let someone tell you that you aren’t tough enough, because I know you are. You are a very determined person when you set your mind on something.

And three… You will be so proud of yourself when you finish this. This experience is something that, once its over, no one will ever take it from you. It will be apart of you forever. That can be a good thing OR that can be a bad thing. That is YOUR choice. You decide whether this is going to beat you OR if you are going to beat it. And again, I know how determined you are when you choose to be.

This is one of those defining moments, Bea (atrice)Anne.

DO IT! And be your amazing self! Grandma and I are very proud of you.

Love Always,

Prudence Scattergoode
