You Don’t Have to Compete with Other Flowers

Some women will tell you that you need to be better than this gal or that gal. They won’t say it in so many words, but the competiveness will be obvious.  Let’s say a gorgeous gal walks into a restaurant.  She’s wearing a tight hugging green dress and her hair is beautiful and flows. You might hear an insecure woman say something like this…

“Look at that girl…who does she think she is!? That dress is too tight!  I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing something like that!”

An insecure gal wants you to start judging the gal in the green dress.

What I wanna know is, why can’t we just build each other up? Why can’t we say to the girl in the green dress,”Wow! I love your dress! Where did you get it?”

In fact, while I was waiting for my dinner, I met a gorgeous gal in a green dress.  I told her she looked great and we got to talking.

She’s a U.S. Marine. She’s traveled all over the world and she was such a nice person. We talked about the importance of building other women up and she was all for it! She even wants to come see our show!

You are both beautiful, intelligent “flowers.” It won’t make you better to cut someone else down, trust me!  Take it from your beloved Sketchyscribe AND the US Marine gal in the green dress:

But if you need “a little watering,” here’s Bruno Mars singing one of my favorite songs – “You’re Amazing Just the Way You Are.”
