A Memory with My Purity

Good morning sweethearts.  This memory is for Purity.  Remember all the times you’d reach for me?  And we’d stand arm in arm for a long time.  Sometimes, we’d even sit on the couch that way.  I can still remember your arms around my waist.  I hope you can remember mine.  As long as we have this, we are never too far away.  I hope you have found someone else to give you these hugs until I can again.  I have.  It doesn’t mean you are replaced.  THAT would be impossible.  But we must cope with the situation the best way we can.  And he is very good to me.  He brought me flowers for no reason the other day.  We must pull up “our big girl panties” and get through this.  He’s a great hugger like you, sweet Purity.  I hope you find yourself a friend that hugs you so well. Find a friend to have a Hug O’War with. 🙂  You know that poem by Shel Silverstein, I hope.  If not, here it is.  He’s one of my favorite poets.
