enter Well, we are deep in winter now. Would be great to have a snow day soon: but one we don’t have to make up. I do love snow. I grew up with it. I remember walking up and down the snow packed streets of Pennsylvania and Ohio. I was very little. At that point, it was just Grandpa, Grandma and me. We’d make snowmen and snow angels together. This was me when I was about two years old.

In this ballet, there is a song called “Waltz of the Snowflakes.” At one point, the main characters are making their way to the castle of the Sugar Plum Fairy and they travel through a wintery forest with snowflakes dancing all around them. This is a short segment of that waltz performed at the famous Opera house in Paris. I love the gorgeous set in the background and the dancers do a wonderful job of portraying the grace and beauty of snowflakes. It may not be your “cup of tea,” but give it a chance. Sit back and watch a lovely snowfall in the forest. And remember…
