I Made More Thespians

I’m sitting here in the Flame Broiler (near the movie theatre).  They are hiring – by the way, Purity.  Anyway, I’ve just eaten in preparation for my workout and I am satisfied.  The food was good, true – but so was my day.  We’ve had three very successful performances.  The kids did so great.  They don’t really need me anymore.  They got this.  I just get to sit back and watch them shine.  There is nothing more satisfying, as an adult, as kids who you’ve trained up in something and they finally have the strength to take it and make it theirs.  We had a few glitches (kids leaving due to sickness, microphone cords getting tangled) but the kids came together and pulled all the performances off beautifully.  My coworkers too, were so fantastic!  I had no sub this morning, so they split my class.  I brought them all lunch from Olive Garden to thank them for their flexibility.  Wow!  I am so blessed.  And then, I have these two beautiful girls that read my posts and are my secret audience.  I know the “weird” girl in each of you.  You cannot hide her from me.  Maybe someday you’ll be able to join me on/ behind the stage.  Then you’ll get to experience the joy of being a thespian.  Thespians are theatre artists.  You don’t have to be an actor.  You can paint sets, sew costumes or create props.  In college you’ll need general Ed courses.  That might just be your chance…to join us.  🙂

And because I know you both love music so much, here is a cool song about getting weird by Little Mix.  Enjoy!
