Top of the Morning to Ya, Wee Lasses…

“Top of the Morning to ya, wee lasses!”  I hope your summer days are full of fun, laughter, smiles and great days! Its ceilidh (Kay-lee) day!

I’m so exhausted!  Buying the food, getting the flowers, cleaning the house…But it’s fun too!  The flowers are sitting in a vase in the kitchen ready to be put together.  Did you know I made stepmother’s bridal bouquet?  Yes, this stuff is fun for me.  So now, you get to see how its done.  This lady is from New Zealand which is a colony of Great Britain.  Its in the South Pacific, nearer to Australia than to England.  But she has a lovely accent and she says “wee” a lot.  She’s going to show you how I’m going to put together the bouquets for my centerpiece and for either side of the fireplace (Grandma’s idea).  I’m going to use plaid ribbon instead of the burlap that this lady uses.  “I don’t do burlap – EVER!!!!!”  Remember that!  I’m a snob when it comes to ribbon.  But her bouquet turns out looking very rustic, romantic and (despite the burlap) beautiful.

I will play good background music like the ones on the next post I’ll a.  I’ll also play some famous Scottish, British and Irish artists: U2, Lorenna McKennitt, Enya, and of course, the incomparable Rod Stewart  “Have I Told You Lately, that I Love You…”
