This saying deserves repeating because it is so true.  You cannot make everyone like you.  And the harder you try, the more often you fail. “Just do you.”  That’s what I tell myself.  And I say it often.  I think folks get irritated with me because I just don’t care if they like me or not.  I’m not going to lie – I used to care – too much.  I drove myself crazy trying to be a good daughter, sister, aunt, teacher, actress, etc… Now what I do, I do for me and for the people I love.  And those people are people who’ve proven themselves.  They are people who’ve shown me they want to be in my life.  They like me for who I am and what I bring to the table.

It is possible to have a peaceful life.
