The end of summer is fast approaching here in the High Desert. Folks are still enjoying the various lakes that surround our fair village: Hesperia Lakes, Silver Wood Lake and Spring Valley Lake. As usual on Sunday, Grandma and I went out shopping for groceries. I pick her up every week for this and we have a good catch up about life. Grandma says she hopes and prays EACH night that you keep yourself safe and you come home to us from the Army in one piece. I think because she was in the Air Force, she knows best what you are up against and how tough life in the military can be. I am getting anything ARMY I can lay my hands on. I’d been wanting an ARMY t-shirt for quite a while now. Finally found one I liked in a military surplus store in Hesperia. On Labor Day, we are both just sticking close to home and trying to relax. I hope you can find some time to rest too.
