Dreams

I read this poem to my kids today.  We are going to start poetry soon.  I tell them that poets are people who like to play with words.  Like people play with basketballs, or board games, poets arrange and rearrange words: playing with the sounds.  This poem has two rhymes and lots of playing with language.  Dreams don’t die, people do.  But when you give up on a dream, you feel dead inside. Check it out!
