Two Dancing Princesses: Part 1

Bea was worried.  Older brother, Braiden was starting to catch on that she and Purity were able to still go off and have adventures with their oldest sister, Prudence. Braiden was following Purity and Bea EVERYWHERE when he wasn’t at work or helping to babysit his baby daughter, Belle.

One day, Bea and Purity decided to go for a walk in their neighborhood.

“What should we do?” asked Bea.  “Valentine’s Day is coming and Prudence is supposed to take us on a cruise.”

“I know,” said Purity.  “And I DON’T want to miss out on this adventure!  I’ve always wanted to go on a cruise.” She thought about the Caribbean island of Jamaica that her oldest brother had always wanted to visit. Purity hoped she see him on this trip. They were both excited to get to relax a bit before continuing their rigorous studies:

Just then, Braiden drove up with his young wife and daughter.

“UGH! retorted Purity.  “Now what do we do?” It’s not that Braiden did not love his oldest sister.  He did NOT understand her magical abilities and they seemed to make him rather nervous.

“He’s mad because HE can’t do magic!,” said Bea.

“And the magic scares him…” reiterated Purity.

“Yes, it does,” said Bea.  She looked knowingly at her older sister.  “Let’s use that to our advantage. Let’s get into your truck and honk the horn.”

“That will bring the whole family out here!” replied Purity.

“Yes, but we only need a second or two to get away to our cruise,” said Bea.  “Remember, time has no meaning with Prudence.  Who knows how long the cruise will last.  By the time they all come out, we’ll have left, cruised for days and come back.”

“How do we get rid of Braiden?” asked Purity.

“Let’s start walking towards the house,” said Bea. “Once Braiden sees us coming back, there will be no reason to wait for us.  Besides, I know Mom wants to talk to him about something. Remember what Prudence always says, ‘Go with the flow.’ Braiden wants us to stick close, so we do what he wants us to do.”  The girls giggled to each other as they turned around.

Sure enough, Braiden walked through the screen door after he saw the girls start towards the house.  As soon as he closed the front door, the girls started to sprint to the truck.

“How will honking the horn get us to our cruise?”asked Purity.

“Don’t you remember that Love Boat episode Prudence posted on the website?” asked Bea.  Cruise ships have horns!  We only need to HEAR where Prudence is, close our eyes and BAM! We’re there!”

Purity thought about the website her oldest sister had built for them.  And she remembered the cruise ship horn sound from the TV episode:

The girls jumped into the truck.  Slammed both doors and looked at each other…

“This horn isn’t as low as a cruise ship horn,” said Bea.

“Who cares! exclaimed Purity.  “Hum deeply if you want. I doubt it matters…” With that, Both girls closed their eyes as Purity leaned heavily on the truck horn.
