I know school is starting for you both soon.  There is something very important you need to do: find your social security number.  You MUST have it in order to look for jobs and fill out applications for most adult things.  I recommend you MEMORIZE AND WRITE it down in a safe place.  You will find it on the paperwork you take back to school.  It might also be in/your Student ID number.  It might look like this:

See where it says SSN?  That is short for Social Security Number.  It is a nine digit number with two hyphens. Remember, MEMORIZE AND WRITE it down somewhere safe.  Do not share this info with your friends!! Idenity Theft is a real issue even among people in your age group.  Do not give it to a friend.  Whatever you choose to do when you turn 18, you will need this info.  XXOO Your Big Sister, Prudence.
