My Friend Martin

I had a quiet day today.  I went to the gym early with my friend then back home to do some errands.  I spent sometime with Grandma, as I do every Sunday. I told her about my workouts and my food plan.  I’m going to get started prepping my meals for next week here in a few minutes.  I just had French fries made out of sweet potatoes.  Very tasty!  I needed that.  You can only eat SO much “good for you food” you know?  And these were good for me because I baked them instead of trying them.  Since Dr. King’s birthday is tomorrow, I’m going to grill some chicken and mash up some yams!  Gotta try to make me some soul food – food that comforts and feeds the soul.  I’m also going to try to make a meatloaf out of ground turkey.  You probably think that sounds gross.  I’m desperate for ANYTHING right now that isn’t a 4 oz chicken breast, 2 oz of brown rice and a pile of raw spinach.  We are not allowed to eat anything processed like salad dressing or bread.  Everything must be homemade.  So, I made salad dressing tonight.  Yum!  Anyhoo, I found this cool movie on YouTube that I show my students each year, My Friend Martin.  I know it’s animation and probably too young for two such gorgeous teenage girls, but if you are bored on your day off, I thought you might enjoy it.  Peace out sweet sisters!
